Ever since I was young, I always had a desire to create art. Little did I know that over 20 years later, art would become my career. One day in high school, after exchanging all my future study halls for art class, I made that decision.
I attended Tyler School of Art, located near Philadelphia. For 5 years I was bombarded with art. Every waking moment I lived, breathed, and digested all forms of art. After 2 years of foundation classes, I chose photography as my major. Maybe it was the chemical fumes or my love for darkness that made photography seem so magical. But the satisfaction of watching a black and white print develop before your very eyes is an amazing feeling. Art school helped to open my soul to new ideas and new experiences. But it did not truly prepare me for how art works in ‘the real world’, which is something I am still learning today. With the progress of digital photography changing on a daily basis, every day can be a learning experience.
Since graduation I’ve worked in many genres of photography: Camera sales, minilab, technical support, custom printing and scanning, lab management, digital retouching, studio photography and freelance. I love shooting events and working with musicians. I also focus on creating artistic digital imagery inspired by painting technique and graphic design. Almost every image you’ll find on this site is available for sale or possible trade of services. To hire me for freelance in the Los Angeles area, to purchase art, or find out more about the services I offer, please contact me!
