NEWS April 2009: Welcome to the latest update of fotojedi.com! Many new projects have been completed, so please check the Portfolio section to see the latest works. Issue 3 of Moonlight Art Magazine will be available very soon, and I’m very excited about it! This issue is a Photography special, complete with many interviews of talented Photographers. Plus there is a special photo essay of my landscape imagery. It will soon be available for purchase online... July 2008: I am sorry to say I haven’t updated my website in quite some time! However, the reason for this is that there has been lots of art in progress. Between freelance shooting, the doll series, and a new magazine, there is a lot of cool stuff coming soon, so stay tuned... Meanwhile, the first issue of Moonlight Art Magazine is finally complete! This project has proven to be very fun and rewarding. Please join Christopher Moonlight and myself, and the folks at Carpe Arte Gallery for the launch party on Saturday August 9th from 7-10 PM. For more info, check out http://www.myspace.com/moonlightandmermaids February 2008: Now that the holidays have come and gone, I’m back to creating new art and I’m working on my series of doll imagery. My plan is to finish the series sometime this spring and start approaching galleries for a solo show. In the meantime, I’ll be showing a few of these images in 2 group shows, both at Safari Sam’s, 5214 W. Sunset Blvd, Hollywood. The first will be on February 24th, in the 100 Artist 100 Bucks show. Stop by between 12-5 PM, grab some brunch and drinks, and buy some art! Nothing will be priced over $100, so here’s a chance to buy some affordable art from LA’s upcoming artists. I’ll be there, and admission is FREE! The second event at Safari Sam’s will be on March 13 at 6PM. It’s a benefit for George Tabb, tickets are $20 and go towards a great cause. This one’s at The Venice Grind Art and Print Gallery, located at 12224 Venice Blvd. in Mar Vista. The opening reception is December 15th at 9PM. Hope to see you there! Mid October 2007: I’ll be selling some of my photographic wares in 2 upcoming art fairs! The first takes place on Saturday, October 27th in the quad at John Burroughs High School in Burbank. The amazing Glenda and I will be sharing a table space, so stop on by and say hello! Or better yet, please buy some killer art! The fair runs from 9AM-2PM. For more info, please visit http://www.fakedotcom.com October 2007: After an extended summer hiatus and many bike rides to the beach, I’m back behind the lens and have been shooting a lot of band photography. New shots will be posted of Gentlemen Blues Club, Sabertooth Tiger and The Nation Blue. I’ve also been spending lots of time working on the CD art for Earth at Night. The CD will be released soon, so I’ll post a link once it’s available on Cdbaby.com. April 2007: Last month I went to Austin’s SXSW music conference. It was a blast! Got to see lots of cool bands, including the Teeth, Hoodoo Gurus, and Airborne. Will be posting some of these pics in the bands section soon! March 2007: I’ve been collaborating with a very talented artist, Glenda Rolle. She creates amazing mixed media art that I have been photographing lately. Check it out! www.myspace.com/fotojedi December 2006: The show at Art is Our Passion went well! There was a lot of positive feedback and I sold one of my photographs. Now that the holidays are nearing, I’m taking a break from art for a bit and will regroup in a month or two. Please keep an eye out for updates soon! November 2006: Please join me on Saturday, November 11th at 7 PM! I’m participating in a group show at Art is Our Passion, located at 5859 Kanan Rd in Agoura Hills, CA. It's a mixed media piece composed of beer labels, contact paper and varnish. Measuring roughly 8 ft x 16 ft, this mammoth wall is indeed for sale, along with several other small sections that will be available for a nominal price. Also on display, paintings, photos, fashion, architecture from other talented local artists. There will be music, food, drinks and lots of people, so come on down! The Color Me Obsessed promo is now complete! Please join Hansi and I for the first viewing on 2/2. The press release is listed below for more information: Fans of Minneapolis indie rock band The Replacements join to pay tribute to the band and raise completion funds for the documentary Color Me Obsessed, by Hansi Oppenheimer, in Los Angeles on February 2nd. Los Angeles - A fundraiser for the documentary film Color Me Obsessed about The Replacements will be held at the Lava Lounge 1533 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, 90028 on February 2nd at 8:30 PM. Local bands playing Replacements covers include: The Fallen Stars, Chris Parish, The Popravinas, Randy Fowler Band, Gray, Nobody's Darling and Shakerdown. A two-minute trailer of the film in progress will premiere Spring 2005: I’ve currently begun a project with Troubled Girl Films. It’s a video documentary of fans of the band, The Replacements. The digi-goddess Hansi is the director and producer. I am the Art Director, and also assist with the camera and lighting. We’ve already started interviewing the fans and are sifting through the footage. The ‘gems’ will be placed into a 60 second promo in hopes of acquiring some financial funding to continue the project, which will be completed in a year or so. Winter 2005: I’ll be participating in a group show at the Black Cat Art Gallery. The opening reception will be on February 26th and will be on display for a month.
